Tom founded Connaughton Group in 2017 after an 18½-year career with Intertek, where he began in electrical engineering and progressed through engineering, operations management and global business leadership roles. He concluded his career with Intertek as Global Director of Life Safety & Security, Hazardous Locations and HVACR, with responsibility for global business development, approvals and laboratory accreditations across multiple international markets.
For the past nine years, Connaughton Group has provided independent product safety and regulatory compliance consulting to manufacturers across a broad range of industries, including industrial equipment, lighting, household appliances, information technology, laboratory equipment, food service equipment, life safety and security, automation and other electrical and electronic products.
